Big Ass fan is the biggest large fan manufacturers in the US. The Black-Jack fan in the US is sold for 6000$. The 2-meter portable fan sells from 1700$ ONLY. One made in the US at a higher labor cost and the other produced in Vietnam.
We did an energy efficiency test just to compare the two. And since the FactoryFan is 4 times cheaper we don’t have much to lose.

To our surprise, FactoryFan moved more air, had higher wind speeds, and used less power. Energy efficiency is measured in m3/Watt, this means the amount of air the fan moves for every Watt of electricity. FactoryFan moved 114m3/Watt and Big Ass fan only 60m3/Watt. That is 1.9 times more energy efficient.
The difference is because FactoryFan has a few technological advantages in the motor, software of the controller, the shape of the blades, and a few more we’d like to keep to ourselves.
